Since the establishment of our business in 1999, All-Span, Inc. has grown to become one of the nation’s largest producers of light gauge steel truss systems, producing and delivering millions of square feet of roof trusses throughout the eastern United States. We approach each of our jobs with a commitment to customers to provide industry leading products, the finest engineered truss designs and shop drawings, and diligent quality control throughout the fabrication and delivery process. And, we remain involved after delivery to ensure the successful completion of each project.

We are proud of our projects, including the one shown here [See PDF or View in Full Issue]. This is the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Fairfax, VA. Also central to this project are Helbing Lipp Recny Architects of Oakton, VA, Cates Engineering of Gainesville, VA, and the project GC, Scott Long Construction, Inc. of Chantilly, VA.

An addition to a church, this project was especially challenging due to the radial top and bottom chords of the light gauge trusses. The radius trusses helped form a dome appearance that the owner and architect were seeking on the outside of the building as well as from below inside. We had to match the curve of the heavy steel “x” exactly. Also, we could put no horizontal load into the truss, which could have pushed on it and pushed it out of plane.

We’re thankful to have been able to work with this great team and rise to the challenge of this project!
