In addition to being one of our most popular columnists, Glenn Traylor is our favorite Santa Claus. Thanks to Comtech in Fayetteville, NC, we’ve shown in the past that his special deliveries don’t need a sleigh. After all, what could be merrier than a truckload of trusses!

As any volunteer Santa knows, all of your annual appearances may not run smoothly. You may encounter frustrated parents, crying children, hot conditions, and many other irritating and uncomfortable situations. But, you do it every year because it matters to you.

Giving More Than Time

This year’s picture with Santa is bittersweet, because it features a little boy’s last Christmas. This little boy suffered from Tay-Sachs, which is always fatal. The visit from Santa was very tiring, so both Grayson and Santa needed a little nap. [For photo, See PDF or View in Full Issue.]

Glenn’s message with the photo is this: Tay-Sachs is a rare disease that needs research funding and parental support funding. Currently there is no cure. Please consider supporting Tay-Sachs research and support those dealing with this disease.

Giving What We Can

Whether you support this cause or another, whether your contribution is made with money or with time, thank you. Every effort you make helps us all live in a slightly brighter world.

Best Wishes for a Peaceful Holiday Season
