This October, all of our owners, a.k.a. our employees, celebrated at our annual ESOP luncheon at our truss plant in West Monroe, Louisiana. Once again, we were reminded of why we work hard for our customers and our company!

Rogers Manufacturing Corporation (RMC) was founded by Larry Rogers in 1981 with eight employees. In the beginning, RMC manufactured roof and floor trusses to be supplied within a short shipping radius of West Monroe. While residential markets were the primary focus, some commercial and multifamily construction was supplied too.

In 1985, RMC began supplying trusses to the poultry industry and it also began to expand its commercial and multifamily business further from Louisiana. Now RMC has two additional manufacturing facilities in Nashville, Tennessee and Mexia, Texas with over 250 employees.

Our stable staff has over 750 years of combined industry experience and comes from a variety of backgrounds including engineering, construction management, construction technology, wood science, and business management. We also have several key employees who came up through the school of "hard knocks" by working as truss assemblers in the plant.

In 2015, RMC was sold to its employees using an ESOP as the vehicle for the sale. Although some may have had their doubts about an employee-owned company, we’ve continued to demonstrate, day in and day out, that we have a great team and a great company. All of our customers can be assured that each RMC truss will be carefully fabricated by an owner of the company. To any doubters now we say, “why not have your trusses manufactured where EVERY employee is an owner?!”
