A continuing strong house construction scene means that the North American frame and truss industry and supporting supply chain are busy. Frame and truss manufacturing remains highly competitive, and top performing companies are paying even closer attention to automation, quality, precision, repeatability, and profitability.

Such performance indicators rely on state-of-the-art innovation, technology, and automation support. Automation has clear benefits in terms of labor savings and optimizing, leading to timber savings, increased productivity, output, and overall profitability.

Since Vekta is new to The Advertiser, we thought we’d take a moment to introduce ourselves. Vekta USA is in the business of supplying the frame and truss industry with specialist, automated manufacturing solutions and tailored support, all direct from our Minnesota manufacturing facility. In fact, we’ve been supplying automated solutions to some of the biggest US companies for years! Improving the production and safety of plants through automation is our passion and we are very good at it!

Vekta USA’s Razer Saw range has everything from manual infeed systems to fully automated pack handling systems and is highly configurable, in terms of layout and features.

Vekta Razer saws are designed specifically for the frame and truss industry. Both the V5 and S5 Razer saw modules take up just 22.6 square feet of floor space. By comparison, other saws on the market are larger, some more than four times the size. In a factory, floor space and how it is utilized is important; with the Razer saw, companies do not need to look at expanding factory space to improve the automation of manufacturing lines.

A very popular addition to the Razer line has been Vekta’s Award-winning P3 printer, developed specifically for the frame and truss industry. The P3 prints at 300 dpi in real time, without the need to slow down the saw. The P3 can print—nail plates, stud types, length, orientation, brackets, openings, overhangs, noggin lengths, logos, quality control checklists, truss-source information, junction marks, and the list goes on. In fact, you can print anything you want, any way you want!

A top priority for Vekta USA is technical support. Vekta is able to provide round the clock phone support from both software developers and engineers. All Razer saws include a battery powered camera system which allows an operator to show a remotely connected engineer what the problem is in real time. From offering electrical or mechanical drawings, remote log-in, or even sending someone to site from our Minnesota office, Vekta guarantees to fix any problems and get manufacturers cutting again within the shortest downtime possible.

All Vekta machinery is continuously being developed and improved and all improvements are available to existing customers. Vekta focuses on enhancing and adding new features and benefits to software releasing, and making available to all customers, a new version every four to six months.

Vekta customers report a payback period for the Razer of less than two years, with plants seeing a notable increase in productivity after the installation of Vekta equipment. The Vekta Razer is the key to frame and truss productivity and profitability. To find out more, please email info@vektausa.com.
