Some of you know me as “That Head Hunter”, or “#&@! Recruiter”, but since 1992, most just know me as The JobLine.

While the end result may be similar, I am more a Match Maker than a Recruiter. Definitely not a Head Hunter as I have never directly solicited anyone. Candidates have to contact me first. Fair disclosure requires that I do admit to advertising and network on social media. Many of my employers work exclusively with The JobLine in part because of our non-solicitation policy.

NO RESUMES! Every candidate at JobLine must use our Candidate Profile. We invest much time and effort providing a comprehensive portrait of each candidate’s experience, skill, and suitability – and we do so in a way that is identical from candidate to candidate so that differences between them are readily apparent to an employer. We also require Truss Designers to be tested with our skills exam. Developed and refined over the past 20 years, this exam also allows our candidates to be compared to national averages. This exam is free of charge – it costs our candidates and employers nothing. We require it, because we are committed to providing a complete portrait of any individual working with us to find employment. I am proud to say that our Candidate Profile is similar to a first interview – the pre-screened candidate has reviewed information on the company, assuring us s/he is interested specifically in that job and location, and the employer receives enough information to make an informed assessment on taking the next step in the interview process.

I would like to emphasize that JobLine always takes a personal approach with our candidates and employers. We do not shuffle resumes, we do not pigeon-hole jobs, we do not operate hands-off. Instead, we do our homework, which means that we research job positions in addition to researching candidates. I have personally visited many of our employer’s locations and made that investment because I value our working relationships – and doubt any typical recruiter has or will do likewise.

What we do for employers, we also do for candidates. We profile each employer, their company, location information, demographics, benefits, job requirements, and compensation potential. While any of our candidates, who have completed their profile and testing, can apply for any position, they must be screened and pre-qualified before seeing detailed information about a company or job.

We track every presentation until conclusion, something else that separates The Jobline from many search firms. We coordinate phone and personal interviews, help with compensation data, and act as an honest broker to both Candidates and Employers.
