Issue #12250 - May 2020 | Page #6

In these uncertain times, it’s nice to seize all opportunities to celebrate, especially milestones. They can lift us up and make us smile. They can remind us of a destination we’re striving to reach, and they can applaud our journey to date.

The Advertiser Reaches 250

Drumroll, please . . . May 2020 is this magazine’s 250th issue! Woo hoo!

Who would have thought 12 years ago that an 8-page weekly magazine would evolve into the issue you’re reading now? Not many, I’ll bet. I’ll even up the ante and ask, who would have thought in 2013 that the new monthly magazine would grow from an average of 30 pages per issue to this? Again, I’ll take the bet that few saw it in the cards.

The Team Statistician

Pardon me for bragging, but since coming on board this two-person team, I’ve been thrilled to help this open forum grow. This year, I’ll reach my 5th anniversary with the magazine . . . which, I should mention, includes a spiffy website now too! Since I’ve been keeping score, these are my favorite stats—our annual averages in page count, number of advertisers, and number of articles.

Moreover, it’s fun for me to compare the first issue in which I participated to our largest issue ever last month.

Onward to the Next Milestone

So, I can’t promise that each issue will be larger than the last—it won’t. We are a forum that is available to the individuals and companies who would like to contribute. Some months, we’ll have more contributors; some months, we’ll have less. But we’ll be here, rain or shine. We always work from home, so we will remain open for business.
