Lewis Carroll had a great line: “If you don’t know where you want to go then it doesn’t matter which path you take.” This advice came from a cat in Alice in Wonderland given to Alice when the cat asked Alice, “Where are you going?” Believe it or not, this answer is extremely relevant when you’re considering quality, too!

If you don’t know what quality is, then you don’t know how to achieve quality. So that invites the question: Do you know what quality is?

This month, you will have the opportunity to see exactly where you stand. In Booth 1110 at the BCMC in Omaha, Nebraska, Timber Products Inspection will have a test of skills and acumen to evaluate your prowess when it comes to Quality Assurance. You will have a chance to inspect a truss just like your QA in-house inspector — which means that you can see if you have what it takes to evaluate ANSI/TPI 1 requirements.

We invite you to carve out some time at the show, come by our booth, and grab your inspection sheet. Prizes will be awarded for the best inspections, and a drawing will be held for any ties. The grand winner wins a Yeti cooler! In addition, you will be able to meet experts in the quality assurance world who will be able to answer your questions on wood trusses, wall panels, cold-formed steel trusses, and lumber grading. See you there!
