If you visited our BCMC booth in Columbus this year, then you got a close-up look at NEXBOT, an optional autonomous mobile robot (AMR) upgrade for NEXPLATE. Enventek has joined the growing list of suppliers bringing robotics to component plants, continuing our tradition of delivering practical, affordable automation solutions. [For all photos, See PDF or View in Full Issue.]
NEXPLATE now comes fully loaded with advanced process-organization and smart-dispatch software, automating just-in-time delivery of collated truss plates to every truss build table. This next-generation solution increases total plant output by eliminating the hidden waste in traditional “lean” truss setups and reclaiming idle time for table crews and machinery. Move carts from NEXPLATE to truss build tables with NEXBOT — or manually, when preferred.
At Enventek, our process-organization technology simplifies operations, increases production, and reduces labor requirements — while building on your existing investments in traditional automation. Whether deployed individually or as part of a complete plant solution, our systems can accelerate ROI, improve throughput, and increase profitability — helping your operation “pay for the robots.”
It is remarkable that, as early as 2007, Larry and Dave Dalson of Enventek had already invented and refined four categories of truss-manufacturing automation, beginning with the RetroC. They created the lumber picking and handling automation category with the Lumber PickLine. When they needed to feed the RetroC even faster, they developed SpeedCatch to catch and organize lumber more efficiently. PlantOne Projection/TV displays followed, helping organize SpeedCatch carts in front of truss build tables. Pick the lumber, cut the lumber, catch the lumber, build the trusses!
The top photo shows the new Bunk Feeder and/or Sub-Pick Feeder for the Lumber PickLine, along with the new optional steel lumber trough. The second photo shows the RetroC with the new optional 6th blade.
Enventek remains the only supplier offering an automatically fed component saw with the one and only RetroC. The company was also the first to integrate and synchronize third-party table-puck automation and laser projection with PlantOne, displaying truss images directly over truss tables. Together, these technologies formed a total plant solution as early as 2007. NEXPLATE now completes the automation workflow at the truss-building stage.
The foundation of any truss plant can be the RetroC, the only auto-feeding component saw of its kind. While it can be installed as a standalone upgrade to replace existing saws or add sawing capacity, the greater opportunity is a Fully Loaded RetroC: a complete system designed to Feed the Beast!
The Enventek booth saw nonstop traffic at BCMC as word continues to spread about our proven, robust, and flexible systems. Our installed base continues to grow, and our customers are our best salespeople.
