Last month’s article, Stiles Machinery Is Ready to Be a Part of Your Team, focused on how Stiles Machinery values teamwork and partnerships. This month, I’m proud to highlight Stiles’ strong partnership with MINDA and the newly founded MINDA North America in Granite, North Carolina – which is a result of MINDA’s acquisition of Deal Manufacturing.

Based in Minden, Germany, MINDA is the world leader in specialized production systems for mass timber components. Beyond just that, they span several industries, including automotive, corrugated board, building and insulation, railway technology, solid wood, and more.

Deal Manufacturing specialized in design and was known for engineering and fabricating machinery completely in house. Primarily, they designed and built custom automated lumber handling equipment as well as products that fit into the broader material handling industry.

Stiles will continue to be the sales, service, and support partner for customers, while MINDA North America will continue to integrate and manufacture various technologies necessary for the mass timber industry. With MINDA’s acquisition of Deal Manufacturing and the subsequent formation of MINDA North America, Stiles is ready to help lead the continued support and growth of the mass timber market.

It’s no secret that mass timber is one of the fastest growing sectors of our industry. Interest is growing in mass timber for multifamily and commercial pre-manufactured building construction. With pre-manufactured building construction predicted to double in the next five years, Stiles is dedicated to understanding the market trends and impacts on our customers. We will continue to make decisions that will allow us to offer the best in building automation. As we continue to grow stronger, we’ll be able to assist and support you as you grow stronger, too.

Charles Martin, former Stiles Machinery Product Manager for Engineering Systems, has taken the role of CEO of MINDA North America. Charles spent over eight years at Stiles and will be missed greatly – but we know that having him in this new role makes Stiles and our partnership stronger than ever.

It’s incredibly hard to fill the gap of Charles leaving. I was personally hired and trained by Charles to not only fill the product specialist role, but to help spearhead the growth of Stiles’ building automation division.

I, along with the entire Stiles team, am looking forward to furthering our position as the industry’s one-stop-shop for manufacturing solutions, material handling equipment, service, parts, education, and more. We and our partners are committed to providing you best-in-the-industry solutions now and always.
