Well, it’s that time of year again — so many things to do and so little time! As we move quickly through the holiday season, I’m going to try to keep a few things in mind, and I thought I’d share.

If you have additional suggestions, please feel free to pass them along! My top 3 are:

Decorations – Start with the most important and/or your favorites. When we run out of time, at least we can see the ones that matter the most to us.

Work – Believe it or not, work will still be there in 2020! Try not to let anyone drag you into extra long hours without a really good reason. Yes, there may be some good reasons, but not all will be good enough to keep you from personal commitments.

Friends & Family – Say “yes” to invitations! Even if you’re hesitant and worry that you’ve got too many other things to do, remember to enjoy the season too.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think sometimes we all have a little trouble maintaining a successful work/life balance…and sometimes we appreciate when someone else can remind us to put people over things, and prioritize our loved ones just a little bit more than we might usually in our daily juggle. So, if you need it, here’s a little extra encouragement to follow your heart this holiday season.
