My July column, What’s in The Advertiser’s Forum?, reiterates that our monthly issues contain content that our authors and advertisers would like to submit, rather than designating particular topics or themes each month. But that doesn’t stop some themes from appearing!

Are You Ready for BCMC Milwaukee?

If it’s September, it’s time to talk BCMC! This year’s Building Component Manufacturers Conference will be held October 7–11 in Milwaukee, WI, and many of our advertisers will be there. To help you start making plans, you’ll find booth numbers in several of the ads, and we also have some articles and a press release that share additional details. Be sure to reach out directly to any of our advertisers if you’d like to learn more from them before, during, or after the show. And of course, if you’re not going to Milwaukee, you’re still welcome to contact all of our contributors!

Introducing “Truss Tales

Savvy visitors to our website also will have noticed a new feature this year, Truss Tales. Created in the spirit of a blog, Truss Tales is a place for stories and posts on the truss and components industry. Joe Kannapell has posted several great tales there, including “Three-Generational Appeal of the Component Industry,” “Two Tales: Survival or Not in the Component Business,” and “I-Joists or Floor Trusses? Ask a Framer.” If you have any suggestions or requests for this venue, simply let me know.

Your Content, Our Forums

Whether you have a quick update, a long story, a fantastic photo, or something you would like to sell, The Advertiser will have a space for you. We welcome all relevant content, and we can help you as you spread the word. Thanks for reading!
