Our robust Roller Plant streamlines the assembly of roof trusses – combining technology, precision, and efficiency to produce high quality trusses! Suitable for any roof truss factory, our Roller Plant is powerful, fast, accurate, and simple to operate with production numbers that will beat almost all other truss assembly methods.

The Spida Machinery Roller Plant

Our Roller Plant is used for quick and easy assembly of wood roof trusses. Precut lumber is placed into the jigging along with connector plates and then the Preset Roller travels down the length of the truss, rolling the connector plates into the lumber and creating a truss. This truss is then ejected and sent through the Finishing Roller to fully embed the connector plates. [For photos, See PDF or View in Full Issue.]

Want to see more? Our website has an example of our Roller Plant solution that includes the following:

  • Automated Truss System,
  • Steel Roller Press Table,
  • Preset Press (a.k.a. gantry head),
  • Safety Scanners,
  • Truss Ejectors and Receivers,
  • Transfer Conveyors,
  • Finishing Roller, and
  • Exit Conveyors.

It’s elegantly designed and easy to operate – simply fill the truss bed up, press with one sweep of the gantry head, eject and repeat.

The comprehensive software in our Roller Plant solution is a standout feature, enabling automation and versatility. The Roller Plant is made up of several highly functional components with intelligent software and touch-screen controls, so you’ll notice the benefits immediately when you add this to your factory. This solution allows for multiple set-ups of trusses on the table, making it exceptionally flexible.

Reap the Benefits of our Roller Plant

The Roller Plant is stacked with benefits including the following:

  • Cost effective (and with no requirement for high-price maintenance contracts).
  • Streamlined processes and efficiencies – with reduced set up times and no jigging time due to computer-controlled auto jigging, you’ll benefit from increased productivity and lower manufacturing costs.
  • Robust, heavy duty construction.
  • Ease of use – it’s simple to operate and requires minimal training. As soon as one truss is completed and moved to conveyors, you can start building the next truss.
  • Reduced manual handling – your staff will find it much easier on their bodies not having to lift bigger, heavy trusses and they will experience less worker fatigue. They can work productively and safely in their own environment.
  • Powerful, fast, and accurate.
