Experiencing What’s Possible With MiTek at BCMC 2026

Issue #18327 - October 2026 | Page #38

By MiTek Staff

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth at this year’s Building Component Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) in Columbus, OH. Our booth transformed into a component manufacturer’s shop floor, showcasing how MiTek’s connected ecosystem of automation, software, engineering, and services work together to help our customers improve productivity, increase capacity, and drive business performance.

Our two-story component structure was a sight to see, giving visitors a unique vantage point to explore the breadth of MiTek solutions. We also introduced two new areas to the experience that highlighted the latest innovations and structural hardware MiTek has to offer. [For all photos, See PDF or View in Full Issue.]

The Innovation Zone

The Innovation Zone was a focal point of the booth, bringing together customers, partners, and industry professionals to explore what’s new and evolving.

  • MiTek® Visara™ — We introduced Visara, our MiTek AI-powered software, to help estimators and designers quickly understand, assess, and act on information buried within construction plans. Plans continue to grow more complex, and reviewing them accurately is critical. Visara helps surface key information faster, reducing the time spent searching through documents and bringing greater clarity to the review process.
  • MiTek® Guardian™ — We expanded Guardian beyond preventative maintenance to include technical training, creating a broader automation services platform designed to help customers strengthen skills, maximize equipment performance, and proactively reduce costly downtime. Hands-on learning and Guardian Training is available through our new Technical Training Center in Earth City, Missouri.

Visitors also explored emerging automation concepts and technology advancements that demonstrate MiTek’s continued investment in machinery innovation. Through interactive displays and expert conversations, attendees gained insight into how MiTek is exploring new approaches to reliability, serviceability, operational performance, and future automation capabilities.

The MBP Zone

Not only did we use our MiTek Builder Products (MBP) in the two-story structure, but we also showcased our featured connectors, fasteners, anchors, and structural hardware in the MBP Zone.

The experience highlighted three key themes:

  • Proven Performance through tested, code-compliant solutions.
  • Meaningful Innovation through patented products that solve real-world challenges.
  • Practical Solutions designed to improve installation efficiency and help reduce costly jobsite errors.

This interactive display gave visitors the opportunity to explore featured solutions up close and learn how MiTek Builder Products help customers improve performance, simplify installation, and reduce complexity in the field.

Expanding the Conversation Beyond New Innovations

While Visara and Guardian generated strong interest, attendees also explored the broader investments MiTek is making in software, automation, and operational support.

  • MiTek® Cloud™ — Customers were interested in reducing technology complexity and supporting growth. Throughout the show, attendees learned how MiTek® Cloud™ helps component manufacturers simplify software management, strengthen business continuity, and spend less time managing technology so they can focus on production, customers, and growth.
  • Siemens-Powered Innovation — MiTek’s continued partnership with Siemens was another key topic of discussion throughout BCMC. From the Innovation Zone to the show floor, attendees experienced how Siemens-powered technology is being integrated across MiTek automation solutions to improve reliability, simplify maintenance, enhance diagnostics, and optimize operational performance.

Featured examples included the Floor Web Saw, Hornet II Saw, and emerging automation concepts showcased in the Innovation Zone, demonstrating both the current and future impact of the partnership.

Learning Beyond the Booth

BCMC attendees remained engaged throughout the MiTek Sessions, with a strong interest in MiTek AI-powered innovation, workflow automation, reusable design strategies, and connected software solutions.

Across multiple sessions, the conversation quickly shifted from understanding how solutions work to discussing how they could be applied within attendees’ own businesses. Customers explored ways to reduce rework, improve visibility, streamline workflows, and scale operations more efficiently.

BCMC 2026 wasn’t just an opportunity to showcase new technology. It was an opportunity to reinforce what matters most: helping our customers succeed. Whether through software, automation, training, services, or builder products, we’re committed to solving real-world challenges and helping component manufacturers operate more efficiently, grow with confidence, and prepare for what’s next.

Thank you to everyone who visited us in Columbus. We’re grateful for the conversations, feedback, and ideas shared throughout the week.
