It’s hard to believe that it is already the New Year, but we had another successful year at Panels Plus in 2023. Despite some ups and downs in the housing market and all the buzz around high interest rates, we had our busiest year on record. The incredible value that our wall panel and floor cassette equipment offers is being recognized by more builders every year. This equipment allows companies to increase their production while improving quality and safety along with a speedy ROI. Panels Plus is making continuous improvements to our equipment to make it even better. In the past three years, we have developed specialized equipment for portable buildings, upgraded the bridge drive system, and upgraded some of the sensors and improved our software based on ideas that were developed during the design of the Platinum Series Automated Sheathing Station.

Continuous Equipment Improvements

While we are on the topic, we have installed several Platinum Series Automated Sheathing Stations in the field and continue to work to improve our software to cover a variety of industry needs. Each company operates differently and there have been several requests for program modifications to fit the Platinum Sheather to our customer’s application. In most cases, we have been able to quickly add the new feature to the standard Platinum Sheather program. Our goal is for each unit to have the same control program, but to be able to be set up through the operator interface to work for different assembly methods. Another project that is in development is to be able to read nail requirement output from a variety of design software. We are planning to work on this in 2024. If you are considering wall panel equipment and you want to see it in action, we can arrange a visit to our location in Minnesota.

There are several new products in the works with our R&D team. If you are currently using some equipment (any manufacturer) that doesn’t quite meet your needs, please contact us directly or a distributor in your area to see if Panels Plus could design a similar machine that does meet your needs. We will always consider adding new products to our line.

BCMC 2023

The BCMC show was great last year and our team made a lot of connections. If you stopped by the booth and requested more information, you should have heard from Tim or Jeff within the first week or two following the show. Please reach out to us if you have not received a response as I assure you that we have made several attempts. We may have the wrong number or e-mail address, but we always want to make sure that your requests are heard.

And, Panels Plus is growing! We are actively looking to hire two additional Regional Sales Managers, so if you know of any industry professionals that might want to represent our innovative product lines, please contact me. As always, I encourage you to visit the Panels Plus website for all the latest news and literature. Panels Plus is also on LinkedIn and YouTube. Please visit us at www.panplus.com or write to us at sales@panplus.com.
