To keep up with our growing business, Square 1 Design and Manufacture is pleased to introduce two new faces this spring. We’ve come on board to help meet the needs of our customers and ensure that everyone receives the best service that our 10-year old company can provide. Now, let me introduce ourselves.

Joining the team as the International Sales Rep, I’m Chris Scott. I worked my way through college at a lumberyard and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. I’ve spent more than 20 years in the lumber and building components industry, and I’ve been fortunate to work with several organizations to hone my skills in Truss Design, Design Management, Production Shop Management, Logistics Management, Operations, Onsite Job Management, and Sales.

In addition, my global experience in the manufacturing process, software as well as equipment, makes me a perfect fit for this international company. Knowledge gained as a manufacturer and supplier has given me a unique perspective of how important collaboration and partnerships are, and I pride myself on being able utilize my experience to work with others and achieve the best solution available for their specific operation and process.

The other new face on the Square 1 team is our International Sales Manager, Paul Proctor. Paul served in the United States Marine Corps from 1986–2013, and he was a logistics specialist and a Primary marksmanship instructor for the first half of his marine corps career. He was afforded the opportunity to compete nationally in the competitive marksmanship program and won numerous awards while serving on the Marine Corps Rifle and Pistol team. The second half of his military career, Paul served as a career recruiter in Indiana. Since retiring from the military, Paul has continued to focus his career in sales in the industrial environment.

Paul’s experience in sales will be instrumental in taking care of our customer’s needs. His main motivation and drive is assisting customers in fulfilling their goals, and his attention to detail is second to none. We are eager to get Paul in front of Square 1 Design’s customers, strategically assisting and leading them to obtain objectives.

Both Paul and I are excited to join such a great team and we’re looking forward to meeting more of our customers face-to-face. See you on the job!
