The BCMC 2019 in Columbus, Ohio was a throwback to the “not to be missed” shows of the early 2000s. It was an amazing turnout for attendees and exhibitors alike and the energy displayed by all was contagious, making the two days on the floor fly by. Every attendee that we spoke to seemed to have a specific piece of equipment or technology in mind, but when they roamed the Spida stand, the interest in all equipment was elevated. “The best BCMC Show by far,” was voiced by many, and Spida was grateful to have been a participant.

Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better show to showcase our newest technology and innovation. We also unveiled the brand new Spida USA catalogues for Framing, Cutting, and Truss, which combined the global wares of Square 1 and Spida equipment for the first time.

Now, we are working through an amazing amount of interest in our range of Truss and Frame Machinery including the Wall Panel Line, which is enhanced by the Wall Extruder and Sheather. The addition of the Squaring Table and Automated Sheather has made a significant impact – with an almost press and play automization, this is really a production hero. The introduction of the Piecemaker Linear Saw has also got tongues wagging, we have our hands full with inquiries.

The always popular line of Truss and Floor Manufacturing equipment, Roof Truss tables, and accessories has now been enhanced with automation and innovation. An always solid sales base for Spida USA ticks every box for Truss plants around the world. We introduced our new Floor Deck Table which also gained a lot of attention, and interest was high in the production of a quality floor cassette. There is a big push for CMs to start manufacturing floor decks to save considerable time in the field. Our durable table with 9,000 lbs of lifting capacity will help build square, precise floor decks and easily transfer them out of your factory.

Spida flexed our muscles and showed our commitment to Industry, our flexibility, our diversity of equipment, and the ability to innovate, and we talked to a huge amount of attendees. Spida is a growing force in the Manufactured Wood Component Industry – as we continue to grow, we are constantly staying focused on our customer needs while striving to keep costs down without affecting performance and durability of our equipment.

We at Spida want to thank everyone who was involved in the 2019 BCMC and everyone who stopped by the booth. Whether that was to see old friends, make new ones, or just check out the equipment, we hope everyone got what they came for and had safe travels home. If you’re still looking for that signature piece of equipment to fill the hole in your operation, give us a call or drop us an email.
