Every component manufacturer has actively implemented lean and best practices customized and optimized to their existing personnel, plant machinery, plant layout, yard layout, and plate supplier’s software. Most component manufacturers are operating as efficiently as possible within their unique constraints and are successful in keeping customers happy and are making a profit.

With that being said, these unique constraints may have become legacy inefficiencies that are increasing the cost of doing business. Time is money, and solving these legacy inefficiencies presents an opportunity for component manufacturers to increase production, save time, and save money by eliminating these nagging constraints.

LimTek and Enventek have researched and developed Process Organization Technology and Process Organization Software that addresses many of these nagging truss plant inefficiencies. Enventek software modules work standalone with 3rd party systems but work best in tandem with our machinery technology that has been designed to be implemented in standalone stages and ideally as an entire integrated system.

Accelerating ROIs

To increase your existing saw’s production, you can eliminate inefficient, expensive, and labor-intensive “forklift lumber picking” AND reclaim your automated saw’s idle time with an Enventek Lumber PickLine. Tom Hollinshed, Owner of Comtech Inc in Fayetteville, NC, implemented a double Lumber PickLine and got an accelerated ROI:

  1. Increased production of 3,000 to 5,000 bdft more for each saw;
  2. Accelerated operating cost savings by shutting down one Cybersaw and one linear saw;
  3. Accelerated operating cost savings by decommissioning/redeploying two forklifts;
  4. The operating cost savings enabled the redeploying of five (5) experienced and valuable workers in a very tight labor market.

Moving The Needle

Think about it – replacing an automated component saw or linear saw will simply replace production. In contrast, an Enventek AutoFeed Retro C saw will significantly increase production. Every component plant still needs the high-end production output of a component saw. The Enventek Retro C takes that one step further and comes standard as an AutoFeeding component saw –AutoFeeding will move the needle on your efficiency meter.

The Retro C is military grade reliable with minimal maintenance and requires just 30 minutes of training. The Retro C will continue to reduce operating costs years after the initial ROI. And, to further accelerate the ROI, you can add the optional SpeedCatch autofill cart device and redeploy your lumber catchers to other aspects of your plant.

Maximizing Your Options

Add an Enventek Lumber PickLine in front of the AutoFeeding Retro C and you have the best of both worlds: a cut-by-truss saw and a high-volume batch cut saw. Complete the process with Enventek SpeedCatch Autofill Carts and start breaking production records with less people at reduced cost and more reliability.

Would you like to squeeze out more truss production from your current facility and deliver quality trusses consistently with shorter lead times all while keeping everyone safe?

  • We have customizable solutions to help organize your truss manufacturing processes that are designed to be rapidly integrated with accelerated ROI into existing truss plants.
  • We will organize the process with minimal disruption, and you get to manage the process when we are done.
  • Our Process Organization Technology will help you to continue to develop your people and enhance your investment in 3rd party automation, autopucks, lasers, and robotics.
