The acquisition of Square 1 Design solidifies Spida Machinery’s position at the apex of machinery suppliers for the Building Components industry. Globally positioned to supply machinery around the world, our equipment profile includes options for all component manufacturers—from manual machines to some of the most automated software driven equipment available world-wide.

I believe Spida Machinery is now one of the largest and certainly the most diverse machinery suppliers to the international market. By manufacturing our own equipment, we have surpassed options and technologies of the plate manufacturers. Our focus is on the customer and all aspects of the machinery. Spida Machinery now serves four specific segments: Cutting and Marking Equipment, Roof Truss Equipment, Floor Truss Equipment, and Wall Panel Machinery. [See PDF or View in Full Issue for diagrams of the complete equipment line-up in these four segments]

As the acquisition takes full effect, the North American location will begin increasing their stock levels, including stocking upgrade kits for older Spida and MangoTech equipment, stocking new saws for immediate delivery, and plate markers to quickly speed up your production capabilities. We will increase our service capabilities in the northern Canadian market with highly skilled technicians. Furthermore, we will continue to develop and integrate our existing product offerings, while providing a high level of user experience and increased data for your plant metrics. Development will continue with new product offerings available and on display at the Building Components Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) in Columbus this year. We will continue to offer Roller Presses that fit on discontinued lines, such as Tee-Lok, Robbins, Klaisler, and Alpine Roof Truss Table Systems.

We are all very excited for the acquisition and eager to lead the industry into next decade of the Building Components Industry.
